This High-Comfort Integrated Hat Rack & AC/Non-AC Duct, designed and manufactured by MSL, is an integrated overhead solution that combines passenger storage with efficient air distribution for a refined cabin experience. Ideal for luxury coaches, intercity buses, and staff transportation, these systems enhance both functionality and passenger comfort.
Engineered as a modular design, the hat rack doubles as an air-conditioning ventilation duct, ensuring uniform airflow while providing convenient luggage storage. Built for durability and seamless integration, MSL hat racks are available in multiple finishes and configurations to suit diverse bus layouts and interior requirements.
Configuration options
Ducting type:
- AC duct: Features a sealed internal chamber for pressurized air distribution with integrated louvers
- Non-AC duct: Standard hat rack for storage without ventilation airflow
Surface finish:
- Upholstery: High-quality fabric with aesthetic patterns for a premium look (Blue/Purple variants shown)
- Rexine: Durable, easy-to-clean synthetic leather finish for high-utility vehicles
Size: 3 metres to 9 metres
Integrated service modules
The system features flush-mounted Passenger Service Units (PSUs) at regular intervals:
- Air louvers: Dual adjustable circular vents for personalized airflow control
- Reading lights: Individual LED lamps (typically toggled via integrated switches)
- Emergency call button: Optional integration for passenger-conductor communication
